Internal Medicine

Doctors of internal medicine focus on adult medicine and have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least three of their seven or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists are sometimes referred to as the "doctor's doctor," because they are often called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to help solve puzzling diagnostic problems.

What's New?

We are proud to welcome Patrick Sciara, MD to the practice.  Dr. Sciara has been working with Dr. Anil Goud for the past four (4) years in developing and improving Independent Hospitalists, PLLC.  He serves as the Vice-Chair of Medicine at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital.

The practice has changed to focus on providing the best possible care to our adult patients and stay true to the nature of Internal Medicine.  We will soon be adding e-prescriptions to improve the ability to manage your medication needs and interact with the local pharmacies.

We have added open access, which means that if you are sick, we will be able to accommodate you the same day or the next business day.  This will help avoid higher co-pays at other facilities.
